Gucci Mane Shooting – Don’t try an stick the dope man

After some beef with fellow rapper Young Jeezy, Jeezy decided he would atempt to be a badass, or “harder” than Gucci an try to get locals to attack Gucci an steal his chain. Jeezy insisted on the radio that he would pay $10k or so for anyone who brings him Gucci’s chain. In fact some fans of Jeezy who wanted to make some cash and get props decided they would take him up on his offer.

On May 10th 2005 Gucci Mane was involved in a shooting which ended in one of his attackers being killed. While being at a strippers house Gucci Mane was a victim of an attempted robbery, where a group of three men dressed in all black armed with pistols busted in trying to steal Gucci’s chain and other personal belongings. After being punched in the face and pistol whipped it is alleged that Gucci produced a pistol and shot one of the men inflicting a fatal gunshot wound. Once the robbers fled, Gucci himself left also, only to find out a few days later that the man shot died in the woods after fleeing the scene. After turning himself in to the local police Gucci found himself sitting in a jail cell facing a murder rap. As far as I am aware Gucci recovered his chain in the shooting, so it didn’t actually get taken in the end after all. There is a good video on Youtube which also tells the story. This was definitely an unfortunate incident and came at a bad time for Gucci just as he was really starting to get known. But for real you can’t stop a true hustler, keep pumping out that gangster music!
